Upon arrival, begin your game drive through a beautiful landscape of golden savannah, ancient baobabs, seasonal wetlands, riverine forests, and rocky hills. The journey towards Northern Serengeti becomes part of the safari itself. As you travel north, you will have opportunities to observe wildlife along the way, including wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, elephants, antelopes, lions, and other species. During the migration season, thousands of wildebeest and zebras move through Northern Serengeti in search of fresh grazing and water.

Your experienced guide will monitor wildlife movements and local conditions to identify the best opportunities for viewing the herds. If the migration is near the Mara River, you may have the opportunity to see large herds gathering along the riverbanks, creating an unforgettable wildlife experience.

A Mara River crossing cannot be guaranteed, as crossings depend entirely on rainfall, water levels, herd movements, and the natural behavior of the animals. Today is dedicated entirely to exploring Northern Serengeti and experiencing the spectacular wildlife of the region. After an early breakfast, set out in your private 4x4 safari vehicle for a full-day game drive around the Kogatende and Mara River areas, where the migration can provide exceptional wildlife and photography opportunities during the appropriate season.

During the migration season, the region can be filled with enormous herds of wildebeest and zebras moving across the plains. Spend the day following the movements of the animals while your experienced guide searches for the best wildlife-viewing opportunities and helps you capture memorable photographs.

With favorable conditions, you may witness wildebeest gathering along the river before attempting a crossing. The Mara River crossing is one of nature's most dramatic spectacles, but no safari operator can guarantee a crossing because the animals determine when and where they cross and may remain at the river for hours or even turn back.

The Ngorongoro Crater is a vast volcanic caldera approximately 20 kilometres across and around 600 metres deep. Its enclosed ecosystem supports an exceptional concentration of wildlife throughout the year, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, gazelles, hyenas, jackals, and numerous bird species.

Explore the crater floor and the area around Lake Magadi, where flamingos and other waterbirds may be seen. With luck, you may also encounter the endangered black rhinoceros. Enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by the dramatic crater scenery before continuing your game drive.
