Materuni Waterfalls

Meet your local guide in Materuni Village before beginning the walk toward Materuni Waterfalls.

The trail takes you through lush vegetation, banana plantations and local agricultural areas. The walk to the waterfall takes approximately 40 minutes.

Materuni Waterfall is more than 80 metres high and provides a beautiful natural setting for photographs and relaxation. On clear days, you may also enjoy views toward Mount Kilimanjaro.

After spending time at the waterfall, walk back toward the village.

Chagga Coffee Experience

Continue with a traditional Chagga coffee experience and discover the local traditions surrounding coffee production.

Learn how coffee is grown and processed, from the beans through roasting and grinding to the final cup. Depending on the selected experience, you may also participate in parts of the traditional preparation process.

Enjoy a traditional local lunch before leaving Materuni.

After the activities, continue to Arusha and check into Mount Meru Hotel.

The journey takes you through the Tanzanian countryside before entering the park.

Tarangire is particularly famous for its elephants, giant baobab trees, seasonal wetlands and diverse wildlife.

Once inside the park, begin your game drive with your professional safari guide. Keep your eyes open for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes and many other species.

Enjoy lunch during the safari before continuing your afternoon game drive.

As the afternoon progresses, continue toward Tarangire Safari Lodge, where you can relax and enjoy the surrounding wilderness.

Night Game Drive

After dinner, depart for a special night game-drive experience, subject to the required authorization and ranger arrangements.

The African wilderness takes on a completely different atmosphere after sunset. With an authorized guide/ranger and spotlight, you may encounter wildlife that becomes more active after dark.

A night drive can provide opportunities to observe nocturnal species and wildlife behaviour that may be difficult to experience during a traditional daytime game drive.

After the experience, return to Tarangire Safari Lodge for a peaceful night in the wilderness.
