Wake up surrounded by the sounds of the Northern Serengeti and enjoy an early breakfast before departing for a full-day private game drive.

Today is dedicated entirely to exploring the Northern Serengeti and the Mara River ecosystem.

Your professional guide will choose the day's route according to wildlife movements, recent sightings, seasonal conditions and your interests. Instead of following a fixed itinerary, you can explore different habitats including open grasslands, woodland areas, rocky kopjes and river environments.

The Northern Serengeti offers opportunities to observe an impressive range of wildlife. Lions can often be found resting in the shade or following large herbivore herds, while leopards may be encountered around woodland and rocky areas. On the open plains, cheetahs may be seen carefully watching for opportunities to hunt.

Large herds of wildebeest and zebras create some of the most impressive scenes in the Serengeti, while elephants and buffaloes move through the landscape in search of food and water. Giraffes can often be seen browsing vegetation, adding to the diversity of the surrounding scenery.

Around the Mara River, hippos and crocodiles inhabit the waterways, while numerous bird species and smaller wildlife add another layer to the safari experience.

During the Great Migration period, the Northern Serengeti can become a spectacular gathering point for wildebeest and zebras. If the herds are in the area, your guide will monitor their movements and take you toward suitable viewing areas. Actual migration activity and river crossings remain dependent on the animals and natural conditions.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness or return to camp for lunch, depending on the day's game-viewing plan.

Continue your afternoon safari before returning to Malaika Mara River Luxury Camp for dinner and an evening of relaxation.

Deeper Into the Wilderness

After breakfast, set out for another full day of exploration in the Northern Serengeti and Mara River region.

With an entire day available, your guide can take you deeper into different areas of the ecosystem, following wildlife activity and adapting the route according to the day's conditions.

The Northern Serengeti provides exceptional opportunities for wildlife photography. Against the backdrop of vast grasslands and rocky kopjes, you may photograph lions resting on open plains, leopards moving through woodland, cheetahs surveying the grasslands, and elephants crossing the landscape.

Large groups of wildebeest and zebras can create dramatic scenes, particularly during migration periods, while buffaloes and giraffes contribute to the diversity of wildlife encountered during the drive. Around the Mara River, you may observe hippos resting in the water and crocodiles lying along the riverbanks, creating some of the region's most distinctive wildlife scenes.

The day can be tailored around your interests. If photography is your priority, your guide can spend more time positioning the vehicle for better views and photographic opportunities. If you are interested in predators, the safari can focus on areas where recent sightings have been reported.

Final Game Drive & Departure

Wake early for your final Northern Serengeti game drive.

The morning provides another opportunity to explore the wilderness before temperatures rise. With your guide, search for wildlife activity around the plains, woodland and river areas.

Depending on the morning's sightings, you may encounter lions beginning their morning activities, elephants moving through the landscape, giraffes feeding among the trees, or wildebeest and zebras grazing across the plains.

After the final game drive, return to camp for breakfast and prepare for departure.

You will then transfer approximately 25 km to Kogatende Airstrip, with the journey taking around 45 minutes depending on road conditions and wildlife sightings.

Board your scheduled flight from Kogatende to Arusha.

Upon arrival in Arusha, your Madini Africa Adventure representative will meet you and provide your onward transfer.
