Mornings and evenings on the Serengeti plains and around Ngorongoro Crater can be surprisingly cold, while afternoons warm up quickly. A fleece or light jacket for early game drives is essential.
Pack a wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses, high-SPF sunscreen, and insect repellent. Long sleeves and trousers in the evening help guard against mosquitoes, especially in lower-altitude parks.
