Its name originates from the Tarangire River, which crosses through the park and is the sole water source during the dry season. Tarangire's landscape is incredibly diverse, with a mix not found anywhere else on the northern safari circuit. It comprises ancient baobab trees, which the Maasai believe are the first tree in creation, and giant termite mounds. The dry season sees the harsh sun suck the moisture from the landscape, baking the earth a dusty red, while the wet season brings dense bush and luscious high grasses. Later in the evening, you will drive to your accommodation for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, we descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game-viewing drive.

Undoubtedly, the Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa’s most famous sites and is said to have the highest density of wildlife in Africa. Sometimes described as the "Eighth Wonder of the World", the crater has achieved world renown, attracting an ever-increasing number of visitors each year. You are unlikely to escape other vehicles here, but you are guaranteed great wildlife viewing in a genuinely mind-blowing environment.

There is nowhere else in Africa quite like Ngorongoro! Undeniably, it is one of the best places in the country to see the endangered black rhinoceros. Furthermore, the park is home to the entirety of the Big Five.

A packed lunch will be served at a picnic site. Late afternoon, ascend the crater and drive to your tented camp in Serengeti National Park, arriving late afternoon for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, we drive to Lake Manyara National Park. The park, nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment in northern Tanzania, is known for its stunning scenery and diverse habitats, from lush groundwater forests to expansive alkaline lake shores. Famous for its tree-climbing lions, large elephant herds, and flocks of flamingos, the park also shelters giraffes, hippos, zebras, and over 400 bird species.

A packed lunch will be served at a picnic site. Late afternoon, ascend the crater and drive to Arusha airport for your onward flight to Zanzibar (Nungwi). Upon arrival at the airport, you will be transferred to your hotel on the Northern coast of Zanzibar for relaxation, dinner and an overnight stay.
