3-Day Fly-In Safari from Zanzibar to Tarangire, Ngorongoro & Lake Manyara
A private, fly-in fly-out safari that whisks you from the beaches of Zanzibar to three of northern Tanzania's headline reserves. Travel with your own English-speaking guide in a comfortable jeep fitted with sockets and a fridge, with unlimited drinking water included, as you explore Tarangire's elephant herds and baobabs, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, and finish among Lake Manyara's flamingos and tree-climbing lions.
The Itinerary
Your safari begins with a hotel pickup in Zanzibar and a transfer to the airport for your flight to Arusha. Your guide meets you on arrival with a packed lunch, then drives you straight into Tarangire National Park for your first game drive, home to large elephant herds, towering baobabs, zebra, impala and the predators that follow them.
After the drive, settle in for dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge near the park.
After breakfast, head to the Ngorongoro Crater for a full day of game viewing. Descending onto the crater floor, often described as Africa's own Garden of Eden, you'll have a strong chance of spotting all of the Big Five along with the huge variety of wildlife drawn to this collapsed volcanic caldera, roughly the size of Kilimanjaro's original cone.
Once the drive wraps up, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a final game drive. Keep an eye out for the park's famous tree-climbing lions, large elephant herds, and the colourful birdlife — including big flocks of flamingos — drawn to this shallow, alkaline lake and its scenic surroundings.
Once the drive is done, transfer to Arusha Airport for your return flight to Zanzibar, bringing your safari to a close.
