Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Upon arrival in Arusha or at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you’ll be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel. This lively town rests at the base of Mount Meru and serves as Tanzania’s safari hub. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the chance to explore Arusha’s local markets or simply unwind at your lodge. Your guide will provide a full safari briefing to prepare you for the exciting journey ahead. Dinner and overnight in Arusha.

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park – Karatu
After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, known for its massive baobab trees and large elephant herds. Enjoy a game drive through the park’s varied terrain, spotting wildlife like lions, zebras, giraffes, and more. The Tarangire River, a vital water source, attracts a wide range of animals. Stop for a picnic lunch inside the park, then continue your journey to Karatu, a quiet town nestled in the Ngorongoro Highlands. Day 3: Karatu – Ngorongoro Crater – Serengeti
Begin the day with an early drive to the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site teeming with wildlife. Descend into the crater for a thrilling game drive on the crater floor, home to black rhinos, elephants, lions, hippos, and more. Enjoy a picnic lunch by a scenic spot, then continue your journey to Serengeti National Park. Arrive in time for a short evening game drive as you head to your camp. Day 4: Full Day in Serengeti National Park
Spend the entire day exploring the endless plains of Serengeti, one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife destinations. Begin with an early morning game drive to witness the savannah awakening — the best time to spot predators in action. Your guide will take you through various regions of the park to track wildlife like cheetahs, wildebeest, elephants, hyenas, and the elusive leopard. Break for a picnic lunch in the bush and continue the adventure until sunset. Return to your camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Serengeti – Karatu
Enjoy one final morning game drive in the Serengeti as you make your way out of the park, capturing last glimpses of wildlife and scenery. Exit through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with the option to visit a Maasai village for a cultural experience. Continue to Karatu for your final safari night. Day 6: Karatu – Arusha / Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO)
After breakfast, begin your drive back to Arusha, passing through beautiful landscapes and vibrant rural communities. Depending on your schedule, you can stop for local crafts shopping or a cultural visit. Arrive in Arusha in time for lunch and final farewells before being transferred to your hotel or Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure. Your 6-day adventure concludes with incredible memories of Tanzania’s breathtaking nature and amazing wildlife encounters.
